Autocross Rules: FCSCC events are run under the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Solo II rules, with any changes or exceptions approved at the annual Rules meeting (held at the February monthly meeting). Cars compete in classes designed to match cars with similar capabilities and levels of modification to promote fair (and exciting) competition. Participants must have a valid driver’s license, with parental permission on a notarized form required for any competitor under the age of 18. Seat belts and helmets (some loaners available) are required, and all cars must be muffled. All cars must pass tech inspection for both safety and compliance with the rules. Safety is a critical consideration at all club events, with the rules and regulations set up specifically to insure the safety of participants and spectators. Novices are welcome, and run a separate class with factored times to promote fair competition among new drivers. A Novice walk-through and instruction class is available at most events. The FCSCC conducts a Novice school each spring. A Ladies’ class and a Street Tire class are also available using PAX-factored times. Our official autocross rules are here. Road Rallies: The FCSCC also co-sponsors several time/speed/distance (TSD) road rallies each year. For more information visit the SCCA - New England Region rally page. |
