Annual Awards Banquet

Saturday, January 21

Save the date! The annual FCSCC Awards Banquet will be held on January 21, 2012. The festivities start at 6:00 PM at Casa Nova Ristorante (directions). Please RSVP before Jan 13th to Mike Raver at rave2sm@aol.com with the number of people attending. Cost per person is only $10 and will be collected at the door. Annual membership dues for 2012 can also be paid for at the awards dinner.

Officer Nominations

Elections for club officers will take place during the annual awards dinner. We need nominations for the various positions: President, Vice-President of Autocross, Vice-President of Rally, Treasurer, and Secretary. Dennis Polio has agreed to run for treasurer again, but I believe that all the other posts are open. Nominations can be sent to Keith Scala.

In addition to the officers specified by the club charter, we also need people to handle the many tasks that support our events. Some of these are Membership Chair, Publicity Chair, Equipment Chair, Cheif of Tech, Timing & Scoring Chair, Pointskeeper, and Registration Chair. If people don't do these jobs, an event doesn't run. If one person does too many of these jobs, they get burnt out quickly.

We need more members to be involved in running the club. No experience is necessary, all you need is enthusiasm. Without more people to help run FCSCC, the club will have to curtail the amount of regular autocross events and special events (teen driving school, Formula SAE testing, autocross school, and club members test & tune).

Keith Scala has calculated the final points tallies for the 2011 FCSCC autocross season. Congratulations to all the class winners.

November 6 Results

Results are posted from the season-ending non-points event, which doubled as the Tri-State Challenge. Thanks to all the New York drivers who showed up for the competition, and to Paul Omichinski, Ken Frey, Justin Lau, and John Williamson for their work in organizing the teams.

Congratulations to Chris Carmenini for having both Raw Fastest Time of Day and PAX FTD, and to Daniel Kopyto for being the fastest Rookie.

As usual, there is no December club meeting. The January club meeting will be held during the annual awards dinner on January 21, 2012. The February club meeting will be the annual Rules Meeting, the date of which is TBD.

2010 Class Champions

The annual FCSCC Awards banquet was held on January 22, 2011. 2010 Class champions were awarded Sparco fleece jackets, with embroidered FCSCC logo and driver information.

2010 Autocrosser of the Year

Mark Daddio was the fastest driver among all class champions at the 2010 FCSCC Runoff, and becomes the new FCSCC Autocrosser of the Year.

Parental Consent Form

If you are under 18 and wish to attend one of our events, you will need to have a Parental Consent Form filled out and signed as indicated on the form. This is needed even if your parents are attending the event with you. There is a permanent link to this form on our schedule page. Also, extra copies of these forms are available at the sign-in station and in the timing van during our events.
