June 28 ResultsNinety one drivers turned out for the fourth points event of the 2009 FCSCC autcross series. The day started out very cloudy, but as the runs got underway the clouds started to break, and by early afternoon drivers were enjoying a nice, sunny day. Liam Dwyer volunteered for double duty, working as both course designer and event chair. Liam's course was challenging with mix of fast and slow corners, as well as some elements designed to catch out the unwary driver. Liam also designed the course with very little overlap, allowing drivers to be given seven competition runs, and plenty of fun runs, while still wrapping up the event relatively early. Leo Ficks was the fastest driver of the day on raw time, Nick Barbato was fastest on PAX index time, and Brendan Dragonetti earned the honor of fastest Rookie driver. |
